SMART Devices, Inc. ceased manufacturing our cinema product line as of June 30, 2008.

In the 30 years we have been offering efficient and low cost products the costs have skyrocket recently for parts, labor, and shipping costs. Our customers refuse to accept price increases and want to purchase at the same prices we had eight years ago. While some competitors have moved their production to Communist China or other third world countries, we have prided ourselves on “Made in America” products. We had absorbed as much of the price increases as possible. It is no longer possible to continue to offer our products without a sharp increase in price, which our customers will not accept in a slowing economy.

Several manufacturers approached us to buy the designs, rights, and manufacturing documentation for several of our popular products. Click HERE for the list of the new sources for these products.

SMART will continue to offer and sell products that are sub-contracted to outside assembly companies. We will also continue to offer repair service for the products we have made in the past.

Our decision to stop making some of our products is largely based on the state of the U.S. economy. Our Marxist President and the Socialist U.S. congress refuses to reduce their wasteful spending and address the problems of the citizens. This is causing a lack of confidence in the government and many financial problems for this country.

It is becoming very difficult to manufacture in America and make a profit.

We will continue to offer products that are sub-contracted to other companies and warranty repair on our own products.
