SMARTcats (SMART Computer Aided Theatre Sound) is a program that allows you to survey the sound requirements of a motion picture auditorium and predict the acoustical characteristics, even before the room is built. A sample job is included. With SMARTcats you enter the room size and dimentions, along with the acoustic material used for each of the room surfaces. The program will calculate the cubic room volume, surface area, reverberation time at 500 Hz, critical distance, and other valuable information. When you select a specific stage speaker the program will advise the power requirements to achieve Academy level (85 dB) at the rear of the auditorium. The program is available in a DOS version and the new Windows version.
SMARTcats for DOS. After downloading the file, type SMARTCAT at the DOS prompt to start the program. Select SAMPLE theatre to see how the program works.
SMARTcats for Windows 1.0 This is a ZIP file that contains all the necessary files for installation in Windows 3.0, 3.1, 3.11, or Windows 95. The setup file will prompt you through the install. An extensive help file is included in the program.

SRS DEMO is a ZIP compressed audio wave file that will play on most computer sound cards. The format is 22k, 8 bit sound. The file will play 2 minutes. The ZIPPED file is about 3.5 megs in size and could require extensive download time, depending on how busy the Internet is at the time.
DEMO is a ZIP compressed file that is much shorter wave audio file that demonstrates the ability of SRS to enhance any audio source.
